November 9, 1928 - July 27, 1993

Claire Jackson was one of those beautiful, eccentric people who leave a mark on your memory and a smile on your face whenever you remember them. Claire was a gentle woman who would turn from anger and animosity, but never fail to help someone in need. She was not a doting mother, yet it is hard to imagine that anyone loved her children more. She viewed strength as a virtue to be nurtured. Therefore, she allowed everyone to make mistakes and only gave constructive criticism if they asked her to.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 9th, 1928. The first of three daughters born to Monica Benimen and John Gabler. Claire married Elmer "Porky" Phillips in Youngstown, Ohio. They had two sons, Tom and John. Claire married Richard "Dick" Jackson in 1969 and was stepmother to his son Richard "Skip" Jackson. Fondly remembering her now are: Sisters, Ginny and Nancy; Brother, Jerry; Sons, Tom, John and Skip; and Grandchildren, Jeffery, Leslie and Matthew and Seth..
